List Of Aquila Legis Members
The Aquila Legis Fraternity (LF) is a non-sanctioned Philippine fraternity that originated in Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in the Philippines. As of 2024, it has inducted more than 2,000 members. History Aquila Legis Fraternity was founded as in 1949 by Joaquin Lorenzo E. Misa, the first bossman or ''most honorable praeses'' at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law. He was joined by 21 second and third-year students of the School of Law, who addressed their seniors in meetings stating, "Boss, with all due respect." Aquila Legis was created as a professional fraternity for Catholic law students and lawyers from the private Catholic university. As of 2024, the fraternity has inducted over 2,000 members. Raul Ilustre Goco (April 24, 1930 – August 16, 2014) was a Filipino lawyer and diplomat. He served as the Solicitor General of the Philippines from August 11, 1992 until September 22, 1996, as well as the Ambassador of the Philippines to Canada during the 1990s. Early life and education Goco was born in Manila on April 24, 1930. He was the son of Dr. Eliseo Goco and Elisa Ilustre. He received a bachelor's degree in law from Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City. Goco joined the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in 1955 and the New York State Bar Association in 1987.
