A soap opera (also called a daytime drama or soap) is a genre of a long-running radio or television Serial (radio and television), serial, frequently characterized by melodrama, ensemble casts, and sentimentality. Augusta Dabney
Augusta Keith Dabney (October 23, 1918 – February 4, 2008) was an American actress known for her roles on many soap operas, such as the wealthy but kindly matriarch Isabelle Alden on the daytime series '' Loving''. She played the role from 1983 to 1987, from 1988 to 1991, and again from 1994 to 1995. Early years Dabney was born on October 23, 1918, the daughter of Thomas G. Dabney and Jessie Dabney. She was born and raised in Berkeley, California, and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and two honor societies. In 1937, she moved to New York so that she could study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Career Dabney acted in stock theater and on Broadway. Jay Bontatibus (July 31, 1964 – February 12, 2017) was an American actor. He was born and raised in Cheshire, Connecticut. He was active in sports at Cheshire High School and at Central Connecticut State University. While at the latter, he also developed an interest in acting.
