Lisbeth Seierskilde (born 5 December 1985 in Roskilde, Denmark) is a Danish Olympic dressage rider. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she placed 34th in the individual competition. Seierskilde also competed at the 2011 European Championships in Rotterdam Rotterdam ( , , , lit. ''The Dam on the River Rotte'') is the second largest city and municipality in the Netherlands. Dressage ( or ; a French term, most commonly translated to mean "training") is a form of horse riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery. The individual dressage in equestrian at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held at Greenwich Park from 2 to 9 August. Great Britain's Charlotte Dujardin won the gold medal and Laura Bechtolsheimer the bronze. The silver was won by Adelinde Cornelissen of the Netherlands. Competition format The team and individual dressage competitions used the same results. Dressage had three phases, with the last being used only for the individual event. The first phase was the Grand Prix. Individuals advanced to the second phase, the Grand Prix Special, if they were on one of the top seven teams or were one of the top 11 remaining competitors. The top 18 competitors in the Grand Prix Special (ignoring Grand Prix scores) advanced to the final phase, the Grand Prix Freestyle. The 2011 European Dressage Championship was held between August 17 and August 21, 2011 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was the 25 edition of the European Dressage Championships, in the 24th time team medals were awarded. Organization Before the event At the 2008 FEI-General Assembly in Buenos Aires, the Netherlands was chosen as the country to host the 2011 European Dressage Championship. Rotterdam, location of the annual Nations Cup horse show in Show Jumping and Dressage, was chosen as the location for the event.
