Light From Above
''Light from Above'' is the debut album by American heavy metal band Black Tide. It was released on March 18, 2008, and was produced by Johnny K. Each member of Black Tide was under 20 years of age during the recording of this album, making it very notable in the music industry. Frontman Gabriel Garcia was only a high school freshman and 14 years old when the album was written and recorded. The album was praised by critics and helped them win the 2008 Kerrang! Awards for "Best International Newcomer". It debuted at number 73 on the ''Billboard'' 200, with 11,400 copies sold in its first week of sales. Three singles were released from the album, "Shockwave", "Warriors of Time", and "Shout", respectively. Two music videos were produced for "Shockwave" and have aired on MTV2's ''Headbangers Ball''. Black Tide
Black Tide was an American heavy metal band from Kendall, Florida. Formed in 2004, the band last consisted of Gabriel Garcia (lead guitar, vocals), Austin Diaz (rhythm guitar) and Cody Paige (drums). They released their debut album, '' Light from Above'', in 2008 through Interscope Records when Garcia was 15 years old. Their second album, '' Post Mortem'', was released in 2011. Steven Spence
Steven Spence is an American musician. He often appears in Instagram video skits with other Internet personalities such as Lele Pons, Jason Neubauer and King Bach. From 2007 to 2012, he was the drummer for the heavy metal band Black Tide. Career Spence grew up playing guitar and piano, which he taught himself to play by ear. He was mentored by his uncle who played keyboards with the reggae band The Wailers. Spence got his first drum kit in 2001 and taught himself how to play. He was accepted and enrolled in Florida State University in Tallahassee. Lars Ulrich (; ; born 26 December 1963) is a Danish musician who is the drummer and a founding member of American heavy metal band Metallica. Along with James Hetfield, Ulrich has songwriting credits on almost all of the band's songs, and the two of them are the only remaining original members of the band.
