Liga ACB Presentation Games
The Liga ACB Presentation Games were exhibition matches at the start of a basketball season organised by the Spanish basketball league in the early 90s and they lasted for two seasons in 1990-91 and 1991-92. The games were both hosted in Palau Sant Jordi, in Barcelona, the home arena of Barcelona at the time. The main attraction of those exhibition games which could also be considered equivalent to the Spanish All-Star Game were the participations of NBA superstars: Michael Jordan in the 1990 edition and his teammate in the Chicago Bulls, Scottie Pippen and Philadelphia 76ers player Charles Barkley in the 1991 edition. David Robinson of San Antonio Spurs was also part of the 1991 edition but a hamstring injury kept him on the bench for the entire match. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administered by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams Promotion and relegation, relegated to the Primera FEB and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Española de Baloncesto (1957–1983), Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. Baloncesto Málaga S.A.D., also known as Unicaja for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Málaga, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB and the Champions League. Carl Herrera
Carl Víctor Herrera Alleyne (born December 14, 1966) is a retired Trinidadian-born Venezuelan basketball player. A power forward, he was part of the Houston Rockets National Basketball Association championship teams of the mid-1990s. He was the first Venezuelan to ever play in the NBA. José Antonio Montero Botanch (born January 3, 1965, in Barcelona, Spain) is a retired Spanish professional basketball player. Professional career Montero was selected 113th overall, by the Atlanta Hawks, at the 1987 NBA draft. Kevin Dornell Magee (January 24, 1959 – October 23, 2003), was an American basketball player who played most of his professional career for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He played at the power forward and center positions. Magee played college basketball for the UCI Irvine Anteaters, earning All-American honors in both seasons. In 1993–94, he led the Israel Basketball Premier League in rebounds. College career Magee went to Southeastern Louisiana University and then the University of Houston, but he was not ready for school, dropping out both times without playing basketball. Cornelius Allen "Corny" Thompson (born February 5, 1960) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was a 6’8” (203 cm) 225 lb (102 kg) power forward who occasionally also played the center position.
