Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous
''Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous'' is an American television series that aired in syndication from 1984 to 1995. The show featured the extravagant lifestyles of wealthy entertainers, athletes, socialites and magnates. Cast and crew The show was hosted by Robin Leach for the majority of its run. Leach was joined by Shari Belafonte in 1994. At her request, in order to "bring the show into the '90's", the show was renamed ''Lifestyles with Robin Leach and Shari Belafonte''. After Belafonte left in 1995, the show was simply retitled ''Lifestyles.'' Voice-over artist David Greenspan (aka David Perry) provided narration for most of the segments during the bulk of the show's run and could be heard whenever Leach did not appear on camera. Upon Greenspan's death in 1991, various voice-over artists took over narration duties, including Les Marshak and Charlie O'Donnell. Alfred Michael Masini (January 5, 1930 – November 29, 2010) was an American television producer. Life and career Early life and education Al Masini was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Raised by his widowed mother, Masini started working after school at age 10 in a Tootsie Roll factory to help support the family after his father died. Masini graduated from Xavier High School (New York City), Xavier High School in 1948 and from Fordham University in 1952, where he was a three-sport star. Harry Julius Shearer (born December 23, 1943) is an American actor, comedian, musician, radio host, writer, and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, Shearer began his career as a child actor. From 1969 to 1976, Shearer was a member of The Credibility Gap, a radio comedy group.
