Life In Plastic
''Life in Plastic'' is the second studio album by British singer-songwriter Tom Aspaul, released 30 May 2022, following his critically acclaimed debut album '' Black Country Disco''. Named for a lyric taken from the song "Barbie Girl" by Danish-Norwegian dance-pop group Aqua, the album saw Aspaul team up with long-time collaborators, Gil Lewis and MNEK. Described as a "monster pop record" and a "party from start to finish", ''Life in Plastic'' received acclaim for its consistency and "Y2K aesthetic", as well its eclectic influences. For ''The Independent'', Isobel Lewis wrote: "''Life in Plastic'' is a pure bubblegum pop record – but not without substance." Tom Aspaul
Thomas Paul Frederick Dutton (born 16 September 1986), known professionally as Tom Aspaul, is a British singer and songwriter from Wolverhampton. He released his debut album, '' Black Country Disco'' in 2020 to critical acclaim. His songwriting credits include Kylie Minogue, Snakehips, Celeste, and Becky Hill, among many others. Early life Tom grew up on a council estate in the Black Country. Writing songs from an early age, he would play ideas to family and friends, but was not involved in the local music scene. La Bouche
La Bouche (French for "The Mouth", ) is a German-American Eurodance duo best known for the hits " Be My Lover", " Sweet Dreams", " You Won't Forget Me" and "S.O.S." La Bouche was founded in 1994 by record producer Frank Farian in Frankfurt am Main. He worked together with techno DJ Ulli Brenner and producer Amir Saraf to produce the music, while American singer Melanie Thornton and American rapper and backup singer Lane McCray fronted the act. Thornton and McCray had already worked together in music, prior to La Bouche's creation. Thornton departed La Bouche in 2000, continuing her career as a solo artist. The Royal Vauxhall Tavern is a Grade II listed gay entertainment venue in Vauxhall, London. It is also known as the RVT. It is South London's oldest surviving gay venue. History The RVT was built between 1860 and 1862 at Spring Gardens, Kennington Lane, on land which was originally part of the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens. Although sometimes reported to have started life as a music hall, the venue was in fact constructed as a public house and has always served that function. UK Garage
UK garage, abbreviated as UKG, is a genre of electronic dance music which originated in England in the early to mid-1990s. The genre was most clearly inspired by garage house and jungle production methods, but also incorporates elements from dance-pop and R&B.
