Le Lieu is a municipality in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois in the Vallée de Joux. History Le Lieu is first mentioned in 1155 as ''loco dompni Poncii heremite'' ("in the place of lord Poncius the hermit"). In 1408 it was mentioned as ''le Lieu Poncet''. Judith Lieu
Judith Margaret Lieu (born 1951) is a British theologian and historian of religion. She specialises in the New Testament and early Christianity. Her research includes a focus on early Christian identity in its historical context, and literary analysis of biblical texts. From 2010 to 2018, she was Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge. She retired from her post in 2018. Early life and education Lieu was born on 25 May 1951. She studied theology at Durham University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in 1972. She remained at Durham to undertake postgraduate studies in theology, and graduated with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in 1973. Liz Lieu (born August 2, 1974, in Vietnam) is a Vietnamese professional poker player. Lieu was primarily a limit Texas hold 'em cash games player for a number of years, before embracing tournament play at the 2005 World Series of Poker. When John Phan encouraged her to enter the $1500 no-limit hold'em event, she ended up in fifth place with over $168,000 in prize money. She went on to place 12th in the $5000 no-limit hold'em event the same year and cashed in the $3000 tournament as well.
