Liam Kelly (born 21 September 1975 in Dublin) is an Irish former footballer who played as a striker. Career He began his career at Home Farm in 1993 making his League of Ireland debut on 19 September. After five years at Whitehall Kelly moved to Shelbourne in 1998. Kelly moved to St Patrick's Athletic in December 1999. He signed for Shamrock Rovers in March 2003 and made his debut in the first game of the season. He scored his only goal in his second appearance. Kelly made 18 total appearances in his two seasons in the Hoops including 1 appearance in the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Before transferring to Longford soon after. Personal life His brother Garrett played for Rovers in the mid-1990s. Liam Mark Kelly (born 10 February 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL Championship club Coventry City. As a youth player Kelly played for Milton Keynes Dons, but did not make a professional appearance before leaving in 2008. Following his departure he moved to Scotland to play for Kilmarnock where he stayed for 4 seasons until a transfer to EFL Championship club Bristol City. Kelly struggled with injury in Bristol, and only managed 21 appearances in two years with the team before moving to Oldham Athletic. He was made captain at Oldham and played there for two years until July 2016 when Leyton Orient made him their new club record signing. Orient finished bottom of League Two in Kelly's first season, and he left the club in the summer to join Coventry. Liam Patrick Kelly (born 23 January 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and the Scotland national team. Kelly has previously played for Rangers, East Fife, Livingston and Queens Park Rangers. Liam Kelly (Irish Republican)
Liam Kelly (29 September 1922 – 7 June 2011) was an Irish republican, who was elected both to the House of Commons of Northern Ireland (1953–1958) (as an abstentionist) and as a member of the upper house of the Irish legislature Seanad Éireann (1954–1957) (which he did attend). He was also a member of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and after his expulsion from that organisation in 1951, founded the Republican splinter group Saor Uladh and its political wing Fianna Uladh. Expulsion from IRA and founding of Saor Uladh Kelly was a prominent member of the IRA from which he was expelled for insubordination in 1951, having carried out military activity with volunteers from east Tyrone without IRA Army Council approval. He then founded a splinter paramilitary group, Saor Uladh ("Free Ulster") whose activities were largely confined to Kelly's home area in east Tyrone. Dervish (band)
Dervish is an Irish traditional music group from County Sligo, Ireland which has been described by BBC Radio 3 as "an icon of Irish music". They were formed in 1989 by Liam Kelly, Shane Mitchell, Martin McGinley, Brian McDonagh, and Michael Holmes and have been fronted by singer Cathy Jordan since 1991. They represented Ireland in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, singing a song written by John Waters and Tommy Moran. In 2019 they released an album on the US Rounder Records label called ''The Great Irish Song Book'' featuring a selection of classic Irish songs sung by a number of well known singers including Steve Earle, Andrea Corr, Vince Gill, Kate Rusby, Imelda May, Rhiannon Giddens, The Steel Drivers, Brendan Gleeson, Abigail Washburn, and Jamey Johnson.
