Li Ning
Li Ning (; born March 10, 1963, in Liuzhou, Guangxi) is a Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, the founder of the eponymous sportswear company Li-Ning, and retired gymnast of Zhuang ethnicity. He lives in Hong Kong. Gymnastics career Li Níng started training when he was eight and was selected for the national team in 1980. In 1982, he won six of the seven medals awarded at the Sixth World Cup Gymnastic Competition, earning him the title "Prince of Gymnastics" (). Li Níng is most famous for winning six medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics, the first Olympics in which the People's Republic of China participated. He won three gold medals (in floor exercise, pommel horse, and rings), two silver medals, and one bronze medal. Li Ning (李寧) (793 – February 7, 812), briefly known as Li Zhou (李宙) in 809, formally Crown Prince Huizhao (惠昭太子), was a crown prince of the Chinese Tang dynasty during the reign of his father Emperor Xianzong. Li Ning (; born July 1958) is a Chinese engineer specializing in hydrocarbon exploration. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and serves as deputy director of the Institute of Well-Logging and Remote Sensing, Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED). Biography Li was born in Huan County, Gansu in July 1958. He secondary studied at Huan County No.1 High School. After the resumption of National College Entrance Examination, he enrolled at Huadong Petroleum Institute (now China University of Petroleum). Ning Li (Chinese: 李宁, pinyin: ''Lǐ Níng''; January 14, 1943 – July 27, 2021) was a Chinese American scientist. Born in Shandong, she graduated from the Department of Physics of Peking University, and in 1983 she emigrated with her family from China to the United States. She is known for her physics and anti-gravity research. In the 1990s, Li worked as a research scientist at the Center for Space Plasma and Aeronomic Research, University of Alabama in Huntsville.
