Lewis Davey (born 24 October 2000) is a British athlete who competes in the 400 metres. Personal life Davey attended The Priory Ruskin Academy in Lincolnshire. Career As a young athlete Davey would compete as a decathlete. By 2021, Davey was a member of the British relay squad at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships. He was a member of the British relay team that ran in the 2022 European Athletics Championships – Men's 4 × 400 metres relay, winning gold in Munich. He was selected for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023 and competed in the mixed relay. He won a silver medal as the British team set a new national record time of 3:11.06. He also won a bronze medal in the men’s 4 x 400m relay. 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships
The 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships are the 13th edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty-three. It was planned to be held in Bergen, Norway from 8 to 11 July., but this venue was cancelled for Covid pandemic reasons. Initially it was intended that the event would be postponed and held in another venue after the 2020 Olympic Games. Eventually the original dates were retained, and Tallinn, Estonia was chosen as the venue. This means that Tallinn will be hosting two age-group championships in successive weeks: after the European Athletics U23 Championships, the Kadriorg Stadium will also host between 15 and 18 July the European Athletics U20 Championships. 2024 European Athletics Championships
The 26th European Athletics Championships will be held from 7 to 12 June 2024 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy. It will be the third time Italy has staged this sporting the event after the inaugural 1934 edition in Turin, for men only, and the 1974 edition at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Thus, the city and the venue will host the event for the second time after 50 years. Stadio Olimpico staged also the 1960 Olympic Games and 1987 World Championships in Athletics. The venue was renovated in 1990 and holds up to 70,000 spectators. The 2024 World Athletics Relays will be held in Nassau, Bahamas, during 2 days in April or May 2024. The first 3 editions of the IAAF World Relays (former name) have been held in the same site: 2014 IAAF World Relays, 2015 IAAF World Relays and 2017 IAAF World Relays.
