Letter Of Jeremiah
The Letter of Jeremiah, also known as the Epistle of Jeremiah, is a deuterocanonical book of the Old Testament; this letter is attributed to Jeremiah and addressed to the Jews who were about to be carried away as captives to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar II, Nebuchadnezzar. It is included in Catholic Church bibles as the final chapter of the Book of Baruch (Baruch 6). It is also included in Eastern Orthodox Church, Orthodox bibles as a separate book, as well as in the Apocrypha of the King James Version, Authorized Version. Author According to the text of the letter, the author is the biblical prophet Jeremiah. The biblical Book of Jeremiah itself contains the words of a letter sent by Jeremiah "from Jerusalem" to the "captives" in Babylon (). The deuterocanonical books, meaning 'of, pertaining to, or constituting a second Biblical canon, canon', collectively known as the Deuterocanon (DC), are certain books and passages considered to be Biblical canon, canonical books of the Old Testament by the Catholic Church, the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Oriental Orthodox Churches, Oriental Orthodox Church, and the Assyrian Church of the East, Church of the East. Epiphanius of Salamis (; – 403) was the bishop of Salamis, Cyprus, at the end of the Christianity in the 4th century, 4th century. There is no scholarly consensus as to when the biblical canon, canon of the Hebrew Bible (or ''Tanakh'') was fixed. Rabbinic Judaism recognizes the twenty-four books of the Masoretic Text (five books of the Torah, eight books of the Nevi'im, and eleven books of the Ketuvim) as the authoritative version of the ''Tanakh''.
