Let It Die (video Game)
is a free-to-play hack and slash video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by GungHo Online Entertainment. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 in December 2016, and in Japan in February 2017. It was released for Microsoft Windows in September 2018. A battle royale game sequel, ''Deathverse: Let It Die'', was announced in October 2021 and had a limited time beta test in May and June 2022. It was developed by Supertrick Games, a game studio spun off of Grasshopper Manufacture, who developed the original game. Gameplay Under the supervision of a skateboarding grim reaper called Uncle Death, players fight through a treacherous tower, obtaining various types of weapons and armor while finding creatures and mushrooms to eat in order to stay alive. Grasshopper Manufacture
is a Japanese video game developer founded on March 30, 1998 by Goichi Suda. They are well known for creating titles such as '' killer7'' and the ''No More Heroes'' series. History The company was founded on March 30, 1998 in Suginami, Japan. Its founder, Goichi Suda, gave two reasons why he chose the name "''Grasshopper:''" The first being a reference to the song of the same name by UK band Ride, which he was listening to on repeat when forming the company. The second reason is that originally he wanted to use a Japanese word ''"battamon"'' as the company name. ''"Batta"'' means ''"grasshopper"'' and ''"mon"'' is ''"a thing"'' and when you put the words together, it means ''"copy or fake."'' Goichi Suda
, known by his alias Suda51, is a Japanese video game designer, writer and director. Affiliated with Human Entertainment from 1994 to 1998, he founded Grasshopper Manufacture in 1998 with a number of other Human Entertainment staff to produce their own titles. His best-known work has come from Grasshopper Manufacture, including ''The Silver Case'' (1999), ''Killer7'' (2005), and the ''No More Heroes'' series. Suda is from Nagano Prefecture, moving to Tokyo at the age of 18 and eventually being hired by Human Entertainment after having a number of other jobs including as an undertaker. His first projects were in the '' Fire Pro Wrestling'' and ''Twilight Syndrome'' series. At Grasshopper Manufacture, he worked on their debut title ''The Silver Case'' as writer and director. Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera.
