Let's Go (CTV TV Series)
''Let's Go'' was a Canadian children's TV series taped at the CKY-TV studios in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It premiered September 1, 1976 and ran for 214 episodes through 1987. The series was developed through the Manitoba Theatre Workshop, some of whose students, including Michael Hearn (as Mikey Simpson) were featured in the cas Each 30-minute episode starred host Janis Dunning (who played Jennifer on ''The Rockets'' in 1987–1991) and a rotating cast of five children. Alumni include actor Scott Bairstow, former Shooting Star Theatre, NYC owner Scott Witty, film director Noam Gonick, Aqua Books owner Kelly Hughes, and singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk. Skits were written and performed by Janis and the kids. Songs were pre-recorded at 21st Century Sound in Winnipeg, and later lipsynched by the cast. CTV Atlantic
CTV Atlantic (formerly known as the Atlantic Television System, or ATV) is a system of four television stations in the Maritimes, owned and operated by the CTV Television Network, a division of Bell Media. Despite the name, it is not available on basic cable or analog in Newfoundland and Labrador even though that province is part of Atlantic Canada. Chantal Jennifer Kreviazuk ( ; born May 18, 1974) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, composer, and pianist. Born in Winnipeg, she played music from a young age before signing with Columbia Records in the 1990s. Her debut studio album, ''Under These Rocks and Stones'', was first released in Canada in 1996 and saw commercial success before being issued in the United States the following year to critical praise. Kreviazuk released two more studio albums with the Columbia label, ''Colour Moving and Still'' (1999) and ''What If It All Means Something'' (2002), both of which brought moderate commercial success worldwide. Aqua Books
Aqua Books was a Canadian independent bookstore opened in Winnipeg, Manitoba by Kelly Hughes in 1999. It was acknowledged for helping revitalize downtown Winnipeg and creating an eclectic mix of programs and events for the Winnipeg arts and culture community. Aqua Books closed in early 2012, and after a failed attempt to reopen in a new location, closed permanently later that year.
