"Let's All Go (to the Fire Dances)" is a song by English post-punk band Killing Joke, released as the sole single from their 1983 studio album ''Fire Dances'', on 12" and 7" vinyl by E.G. Records in June 1983. The single reached number 51 in the UK Singles Chart and was the band's first single with a music video. Track listings The B-side for the 7" release was the track "Dominator", also from the album ''Fire Dances''. The version of this track featured on the 12" release was a longer alternative mix, titled "Dominator (Version)". The A-side for the 12" single also included a live recording of "The Fall of Because". Killing Joke
Killing Joke are an English rock band from Notting Hill, London, England, formed in 1979 by Jaz Coleman (vocals, keyboards), Paul Ferguson (drums), Geordie Walker (guitar) and Youth (bass). Their first album, '' Killing Joke'', was released in 1980. After the release of ''Revelations'' in 1982, bassist Youth was replaced by Paul Raven. The band achieved mainstream success in 1985 with both the album '' Night Time'' and the single " Love Like Blood". The band's musical style emerged from the post-punk scene, but stood out due to their heavier approach, and has been cited as a key influence on industrial rock. Their style evolved over many years, at times incorporating elements of gothic rock, synth-pop and electronic music, often baring Walker's prominent guitar and Coleman's "savagely strident vocals". Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of punk music that emerged in the late 1970s as musicians departed from punk's traditional elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. The A-side usually features a recording that its artist, producer, or record company intends to be the initial focus of promotional efforts and radio airplay and hopefully become a hit record. The B-side (or "flip-side") is a secondary recording that typically receives less attention, although some B-sides have been as successful as, or more so than, their A-sides.
