Jochen Lempert
Jochen Lempert (born 1958 in Moers) is a German photographer whose work is about the world of nature and animals. Lempert first studied as a biologist before turning to photography in the early 1990s. Accordingly, his pictures are marked with scientific aspects, not only referring to his motives but more to the whole process of photography. He has built his reputation on scientific publications. His work is in the collection of the German state. In 2005 he was the winner of the Edwin Scharff Prize. In 2010 he will contribute to national and international exhibitions. The first major survey of Lempert's photography outside of Germany, titled "Trabalho de Campo" ("Field Work"), was held at the Culturgest in Lisbon, Portugal, 7 February through 10 May 2010. László Lempert
László Lempert (4 June 1952, in Budapest) is a Hungarian-American mathematician, working in the analysis of multiple complex variables. He proved that the Carathéodory and Kobayashi distances agree on convex domains. He further proved that a compact, strictly pseudoconvex real analytic hypersurface can be embedded into the unit sphere of a Hilbert space. Life Lempert graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University in 1975. He was at the Analysis Department of the same university (1977–1988) and is a professor of Purdue University since 1988. He was a visiting research fellow at the Université de Paris VII (1979–1980), visiting lecturer at the Princeton University (1984–1985), and visiting professor at the Eötvös Loránd University (1994–1995). Ted Lempert (born June 14, 1961, San Mateo, California) is a Democratic politician who served two stints in the California State Assembly from 1988 until 1992 and from 1996 until he was term limited in 2000. Lempert represented the Peninsula subregion of the San Francisco Bay Area. Lempert is currently the President of Children Now and previously served as CEO and founder of EdVoice.
