Lehigh Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) area located in the Lehigh Valley region of southeastern Pennsylvania encompasses portions of Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Schuylkill, Carbon, and Monroe Counties, the towns between Jim Thorpe to Easton, the landforms of Schuylkill River Valley and the Brodhead and Swatara Creek watersheds to the west. Lehigh Valley College was a college owned by Career Education Corporation, a for-profit educational company. The college was located near Allentown, Pennsylvania, in Center Valley and offered associate degree programs in a variety of vocational areas, including criminal justice, graphic design and accounting. History Lehigh Valley College, formerly known as Allentown Business School, was founded in 1869 as primarily a secretarial school. Since opening, it expanded and moved four times to accommodate a larger student body and greater selection of programs. The school operated under at least five owners. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. They are located in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and they are named in reference to pig iron, used in the manufacturing of steel, for which the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania is well known. The Lehigh Valley Outlawz were a professional indoor football team based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The team began play as a semi-pro team in the Labelle Community Football League as the ''Philly Outlawz''.
