''Home and Away'' is an Australian soap opera. It was first broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Seven Network (stylised 7Network, and commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is an Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. It is owned by Seven West Media, Seven West Media Limited, and is one of the five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. Anthony "Tony" Holden is a fictional character from the Australian Channel Seven soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Jon Sivewright. The character debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 5 August 2005. As of 2010 Sivewright was the joint second longest-serving current male cast member in the serial. In February 2010, it was announced that Sivewright was being written out of the serial after five years following the departure of his co-star Amy Mathews. Tony's storylines have focused on his grief on losing his wife, girlfriend and child, he is described as a "family man" who puts them first.
