Lebhar IMP Pairs
The Lebhar IMP Pairs national bridge championship is held at the spring American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) North American Bridge Championship (NABC). The Lebhar IMP Pairs is a four-session IMP pairs event with two qualifying and two final sessions. The event typically starts on the second Thursday of the NABC. The event is open. History The Lebhar IMP Pairs is a four-session event --- two qualifying sessions followed by two final sessions. The winners have their names inscribed on the Lebhar Trophy. Scoring is by International Match Points (IMPs). Joel Powhatan Wooldridge (born July 19, 1979) is an American multi national champion and world junior champion in contract bridge as well as an expert foosball player. In 1990, Wooldridge broke Sam Hirschman's previous record for the youngest to achieve Life Master status with the American Contract Bridge League surpassing the mark of 11 years, 9 months and 5 days with a new record of 11 years, 4 months and 13 days. Michael Rosenberg
Michael Rosenberg (born March 7, 1954) is an American bridge player. Rosenberg was born in New York City, moved to Scotland as a child, and returned to New York in 1978. He lived in New York State with his wife Debbie, also a top player, from 1995 until 2011 when the couple moved to Northern California. Michael won the 1994 Rosenblum Cup, the 2017 Bermuda Bowl, and the 2018 World Mixed Teams Championship. As of 2007 he has won fourteen North American championships, as well as multiple wins in the major invitational tournaments. He has also won the World Bridge Federation (WBF) Par competition in 1998, a test of declarer play skill, and is known for his advocacy of a high standard of ethical behavior for players. Frederick "Fred" Gitelman (born February 6, 1965) is a Canadian-American bridge player, developer of bridge software, and a founder of the online bridge platform Bridge Base Online. Biography Gitelman has won one world championship, nine North American Bridge Championships, and a gold medal in the 2002 IOC Grand Prix. He was a runner-up in the 1995 Bermuda Bowl as a member of the Canada open . In 2005 he was named Personality of the Year by the International Bridge Press Association. He was the youngest winner of the Bermuda Bowl world championship for national teams from 1981 until 2015, when 19-year old Michal Klukowski of Poland succeeded him. Ralph Katz (born 1957) is an American bridge player. Katz is from Burr Ridge, Illinois and graduated from University of Steubenville. In 2018 he was a first-ballot selection for the ACBL Hall of Fame. Domestically, he has won 23 North American Bridge Championships and the Open Team Trials seven times. Internationally, he has many top finishes, highlighted by a win in the 2009 Bermuda Bowl.
