League For A Fifth International
The League for the Fifth International (L5I) is an international grouping of revolutionary Trotskyist organisations around a common programme and perspectives. History L5I was founded in 1989 as the Movement for a Revolutionary Communist International. Its first members groups were Workers' Power in Britain, the Irish Workers Group, and Gruppe Arbeitermacht (GAM) in Germany. Publications The League publishes a quarterly English-language journal entitled ''Fifth International''. The majority of writers for this appear to be from the British group, although other sections publish journals in their own languages. ''Revolutionärer Marxismus'' is the German-language journal. The League previously published the journal "Permanent Revolution", a more theoretical journal which looked at tactics that communist organisations use, theories of imperialism, and similar questions. This is a list of Trotskyist internationals. It includes all of the many political internationals which self-identify as Trotskyist. Of the organizations listed, two claim to be the original Fourth International founded in 1938: the reunified Fourth International (USFI) and the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI). The Fourth International split into two factions 1953 over the question of historic perspective, with the International Secretariat (ISFI) turning in favour of deep entryism and supporting petty-bourgeois nationalist movements in less developed countries, and the International Committee (ICFI) upholding the need to form revolutionary parties. The factions reunited in 1963 resulting in the formation of reunified Fourth International (USFI), while parts of the ICFI did not. Socialist Party Of Sri Lanka
The Socialist Party of Sri Lanka (SP) is a left-wing political party in Sri Lanka. Founded in 2006 as a split from the United Socialist Party (part of the Committee for a Workers' International), it was for a time associated with the League for the Fifth International (L5I) until its expulsion in 2020 over a disagreement around electoral tactics. In its decision to expel the SPSL from the L5I, the International Secretariat of the League noted that "The reason for the expulsion was its support for a candidate, Dr Ajantha Perera, in the Presidential election of 16 November 2019, whose campaign systematically misrepresented the politics of the League and whose public statements were neither socialist nor working class, even in the broadest sense." The Socialist Organisation of Working People (SOP, Czech: ''Socialistická organizace pracujících'') was a Trotskyist political group in the Czech Republic established in 1998 after a split in the group affiliated to the International Socialist Tendency, Socialist Solidarity. Trotskyism (, ) is the political ideology and branch of Marxism developed by Russian revolutionary and intellectual Leon Trotsky along with some other members of the Left Opposition and the Fourth International. Entryism (also called entrism, enterism, infiltration, a French Turn, boring from within, or boring-from-within) is a political strategy in which an organization or state encourages its members or supporters to join another, usually larger, organization in an attempt to expand influence and expand their ideas and program. If the organization being "entered" is hostile to entryism, the entryists may engage in a degree of subterfuge and subversion to hide the fact that they are an organization in their own right.
