The Leader of the Opposition of Punjab (Urdu: قائد حزب اختلاف پنجاب), is an elected politician who is, by Pakistani law, the leader of the Official Opposition in the Province of Punjab. The Leader of the Opposition leads the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. The Leader of the Opposition is the leader of the largest political party in the Provincial Assembly that is not in government. The All-India Muslim League (AIML) was a political party founded in 1906 in Dhaka, British India with the goal of securing Muslims, Muslim interests in South Asia. Chaudhry Parvez Elahi Warraich (Urdu, ; born 1 November 1945) is a Pakistani politician who was the Chief Minister of Punjab from late 2002 to late 2007 and again from late 2022 to early 2023. He was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from August 2018 till January 2023, when he, as chief minister, dissolved the assembly.
