Law Enforcement In Tanzania
Law enforcement in Tanzania is primarily the responsibility of the Tanzania Police Force within 947,303 km2 (365,756 sq. mi) of national jurisdiction of Tanzania. The force, headed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, is divided into five departments. Each department is led by a commissioner. Tanzania
Tanzania, officially the United Republic of Tanzania, is a country in East Africa within the African Great Lakes region. Dar es Salaam (, ; from ) is the largest city and financial hub of Tanzania. It is also the capital of the Dar es Salaam Region. With a population of over 7 million people, Dar es Salaam is the largest city in East Africa by population and the List of cities in Africa by population, fifth-largest in Africa. Located on the Swahili coast, Dar es Salaam is an important economic center and one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa.
