''Laune der Natur'' ("Mood of Nature") is the sixteenth studio album by German band Die Toten Hosen. It was produced by Vincent Sorg and released both as a single and a double album together with the album Learning English Lesson Two on May 5, 2017 on the band's own label JKP. The additional album Learning English Lesson Two contains cover versions in English only and is not available separately. Tracklist Laune der Natur contains 15 German-language titles that deal with the death, loss and transience of relationships. As with the previous studio album Ballast der Republik, some of the lyrics are a collaboration between Campino, the band's front man, and the hip-hop musician Marteria. Die Toten Hosen (literally "The Dead Trousers", figuratively "The Deadbeats") is a German punk rock band from Düsseldorf. History The current members of Die Toten Hosen are Campino (Andreas Frege), Kuddel (Andreas von Holst), Vom (Stephen Ritchie), Andi (Andreas Meurer) and Breiti (Michael Breitkopf). All members except one are German, though Campino's mother, Jenny, was English. The drummer Vom comes from England. He joined in 1999, after previous drummer Wölli sustained injuries in a car crash. Wölli had played from 1985 to 1999 and was an honorary member of the band until his death in 2016. The drummer until 1985 was Trini Trimpop, who became the band's manager when Wölli joined. Tobias Kuhn
Tobias Kuhn is a German songwriter, producer and film composer living in Berlin. Career In 1992, Kuhn co-founded German indie band Miles with his high school friends and signed to V2 Records shortly after. After releasing four albums, he started his solo-project Monta and released two critically acclaimed albums including ''Where Circles Begin'' which was named "Album of the Week" by the Sunday Times. The song "My Impropriety" was featured on the soundtrack of ''Palermo Shooting'' which was directed by Wim Wenders. Kuhn started writing and producing for other artists afterwards. ''Ballast der Republik'' (Burden Of The Republic) is a 2012 album by the German punk band Die Toten Hosen. It was their first studio album since 2008's ''In aller Stille''. To commemorate the 30-year-jubilee of the band, the album was also released as a special edition with a second CD, titled ''Die Geister, die wir riefen'', containing 15 cover versions of songs and literature by artists that influenced and inspired the members of the band. The name 'Ballast der Republik' is wordplay, alluding to the Palast der Republik, the parliament building of communist East Germany. Marten Laciny (born 4 December 1982), better known by his stage name Marteria, is a German rapper. Andreas Frege (born 22 June 1962), known professionally as Campino, is a German-British singer, best known as the lead vocalist of Die Toten Hosen, a German punk rock band. Biography Campino was born in Düsseldorf and is a descendant of the Frege family who owned the (Frege House) in Leipzig. His grandfather Ludwig Frege was the president of the Federal Administrative Court of Germany. He grew up as the son of a judge and a teacher. His mother was English, and raised her children to be bilingual. He has five siblings including his older brother John, who introduced him to punk music. At the age of two he moved with his parents to Mettmann, near Düsseldorf, Germany. Campino went to the Humboldt-Gymnasium secondary school in Düsseldorf.
