Larry Murphy (ice Hockey)
Lawrence Thomas Murphy (born March 8, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played over 20 years in the National Hockey League, suiting up for the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, Minnesota North Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Detroit Red Wings. He won two back-to-back Stanley Cup championships, the first of two being with Pittsburgh in 1991 and 1992; and then with Detroit in 1997 and 1998. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. He currently serves as a studio analyst and fill-in color commentator during away games for the Red Wings on Bally Sports Detroit. Scarborough (; 2021 Canadian census, 2021 Census 629,941) is a district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is situated in the eastern part of the City of Toronto. Tim Horton
Miles Gilbert "Tim" Horton (January 12, 1930 – February 21, 1974) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played 24 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He spent the majority of his career playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, later playing with the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres. Horton was a 4-time Stanley Cup Champion in 1962 Stanley Cup Finals, 1962, 1963 Stanley Cup Finals, 1963, 1964 Stanley Cup Finals, 1964, and 1967 Stanley Cup Finals, 1967 with the Maple Leafs. 2000–01 NHL Season
The 2000–01 NHL season was the 84th regular season of the National Hockey League. With the addition of the expansion Columbus Blue Jackets and the Minnesota Wild, 30 teams each played 82 games. The Stanley Cup winners were the Colorado Avalanche, who won the best of seven series 4–3 against the New Jersey Devils. Paul Coffey
Paul Patrick Coffey (born June 1, 1961) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played for nine teams over 21 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Known for his speed and scoring prowess, Coffey ranks second all-time among NHL defencemen in Goal (ice hockey), goals, Assist (ice hockey), assists, and Point (ice hockey), points, behind only Ray Bourque. He won the James Norris Memorial Trophy as the NHL's best defenceman three times and was voted to eight end-of-season All-Star teams (four first-team and four second-team). He holds the record for the most goals by a defenceman in one season, 48 in 1985–86, and is the only defenceman to have scored 40 goals more than once, also doing it in 1983–84. Dmitri Mironov
Dmitri Olegovich Mironov (; born December 25, 1965) is a Russian former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted in the eighth round, 160th overall, by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He was part of the 1998 Stanley Cup winning Detroit Red Wings. Playing career Mironov played in the Soviet Union for seven seasons before moving to the National Hockey League to play for the Maple Leafs. He debuted in Toronto in the 1991–92 season and played there for four seasons. After a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Mironov joined the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. With the Mighty Ducks in the 1997–98 season, Mironov earned a trip to the NHL All-Star Game. Ken Houston (ice Hockey)
Kenneth Ray Houston (born November 12, 1944) is an American former professional football player who was a safety in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1986. Houston played for the AFL's Houston Oilers from 1967 through 1969, and after the AFL–NFL merger, with the Oilers from 1970 through 1972, then with the Washington Redskins until 1980. Brian Engblom
Brian Paul Engblom (born January 27, 1955) is a Canadian ice hockey broadcaster for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and a former professional hockey defenseman. He was a three-time Stanley Cup winner with the Montreal Canadiens. Biography Engblom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and played for the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He was drafted 22nd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1975 NHL Entry Draft. He played his first two professional seasons with Montreal's AHL affiliate Nova Scotia Voyageurs before playing in his first NHL game in the 1977 Stanley Cup playoffs with Montreal. The 1980 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''1980 WJHC'') was the fourth edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship and was held from December 27, 1979, until January 2, 1980. The tournament was held in Helsinki, Finland. The Soviet Union won its fourth consecutive gold medal, while Finland won the silver, and Sweden the bronze. The Canada men's national ice hockey team (popularly known as Team Canada; ) is the ice hockey team representing Canada internationally.
