Larry Mendte
Lawrence David Mendte (born January 16, 1957) is the host of Mendte in the Morning on WOR radio in New York City, after spending a year at the station as new director and anchor. Mendte is a longtime American TV news anchor, commentator and host. Until 2022, Mendte hosted three TV shows, ''Jersey Matters'', ''The Delaware Way'', and ''Another Thing with Larry Mendte''. Previously, Mendte hosted ''The Larry Mendte Show'' on WABC (AM) in New York. As of August 21, 2023, Mendte was named News Director and morning news anchor at iHeart's 710 WOR Radio in New York City. He was heard on the ''Len Berman and Michael Riedel In-the-Morning Show.'' Until a few years ago, Mendte wrote and delivered nightly commentaries at WPIX in New York City that were aired at TV stations across the country. Lansdowne is a borough (Pennsylvania), borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States, located southwest of Center City, Philadelphia, Center City Philadelphia. Saint Philomena's Church (Lansdowne)
The St. Philomena Church is a Roman Catholic church located in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. History Beginning construction in 1898, the cornerstone for the church's foundation was laid on December 4 of that year. The local congregation, who had been meeting in a rented space at the Lansdowne Hall, held a service in the rain led by Bishop Edmond Francis Prendergast as the cornerstone was laid. The church was completed for the most part by 1899, although would undergo various major renovations and roof raisings throughout the early 20th century. The church was dedicated to Saint Philomena on May 27, 1900. Rev. Francis J. Markee was the rector at its founding. In 1902, planning began to construct a parochial school for the congregation under lead of Philadelphia architect Rowland W. Boyle (d. 1911).
