Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra
The Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra is a Manual Orchestra based in Chennai. It was established in 1987 with 10 members. Since then, it has performed over 7,800 times in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and across the world. This orchestra maintains completely manual orchestration. It does not use synthesizers or any other electronic equipment. World record The Lakshman Sruthi Orchestra was the first orchestra to carry out a 36-hour non-stop light music performance on 17–18 December 1994 at Kamarajar Arangam in Chennai. In doing so, it set a world record. The performance was inaugurated by Padmashree Dr. K. J. Yesudas and watched by an audience of 24,000 people. This audience included M. S. Viswanathan, T. K. Ilaiyaraaja
Ilaiyaraaja (born R. Gnanathesikan, 3 June 1943) is an Indian musician, composer, arranger, conductor, orchestrator, instrumentalist, lyricist and singer, popular for his works in Indian Cinema, prominently in Tamil films. Reputed to be one of the most prolific Indian composers, in a career spanning over forty-five years, he has composed over 7,000 songs and provided film scores for over 1,000 films, apart from performing in over 20,000 concerts. Ilaiyaraaja received several awards for his works throughout his career. In 2012, for his creative and experimental works in the field of music, he received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the highest Indian recognition given to people in the field of performing arts. Kovai Sarala is an Indian actress and comedian, who prominently plays supporting roles in Tamil and Telugu films. She has won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian three times, for her performances in '' Sathi Leelavathi'' (1995), '' Poovellam Un Vasam'' (2001) and '' Uliyin Osai'' (2008). Manjula (Kannada Actress)
Manjula (8 November 1954 – 12 September 1986) was an Indian actress who acted in Kannada language films and also few Tamil (credited as ''Kumari Manjula'') and Telugu films. She was one of the most successful and prominent actresses of Kannada films in 1970s and 1980s. Anuradha Sriram (born 9 July 1970) is an Indian carnatic and playback singer and child actress who hails from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
