Edgar Neville
Edgar Neville Romrée, Count of Berlanga de Duero (28 December 1899 – 23 April 1967) was a Spanish playwright and film director, a member of the Generation of '27. Biography Neville was born in Madrid but lived in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood in the 1930s, in the period of the dubbed Spanish language, Spanish versions of the studios' English-language films. He wrote dialogue for MGM's Spanish language films, and won acclaim for his script adapted from George Hill's ''The Big House'' (1930). During the Spanish Civil War, Neville made a few short propaganda films for the Francoist, Nationalist side. He also made three movies in Rome. The films he directed in the 1940s and 1950s mixed Realism (arts), realism and romanticism, but did not perform particularly well at the box-office. Josefina De La Torre
Josefina de la Torre Millares (25 September – 12 July 2002) was a Spanish poet, novelist, and opera singer, as well as a stage, film, radio, and television actress. She was closely associated with the Generation of '27, an influential group of poets including Ernestina de Champourcín, Juan José Domenchina, Concha Méndez and Carmen Conde, that arose in Spanish literary circles between 1923 and 1927, essentially out of a shared desire to experience and work with avant-garde forms of art and poetry. In 1934, de la Torre did work as a voice actress for Paramount, dubbing over Marlene Dietrich, and also dubbed Alexander Hall's ''Miss Fane's Baby Is Stolen'' (1934). She returned to Madrid in 1935, where she began concentrating on her theatrical and musical repertoire, becoming a successful soprano. Enrique García-Herreros Codesido (29 December 1903 - 18 September 1977) was a Spanish humorist, drafter, poster artist, filmmaker and mountaineer. Luis García Berlanga defined him as the one who invented the promotion and advertising. He found out Nati Mistral and he was the personal manager of Sara Montiel until 12 December 1963. He died from an accident while climbing Cornión, Picos de Europa, on 18 September 1977. He was married to the Olympic sportswoman Ernestina Maenza Fernández-Calvo, with whom he had a child. Gerardo Vera Perales (10 March 194720 September 2020) was a Spanish costume and set designer, opera director, actor, and film and theatre director. Life Vera was born in Miraflores de la Sierra on 10 March 1947. He studied English language and literature in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and theatre in the University of Exeter.
