La Voix Season 1
''La Voix'' is the French Canadian version of '' The Voice''. The first season of ''La Voix'' premiered on the TVA on 20 January 2013 and ended on 14 April 2013. It featured Marc Dupré, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marie-Mai and Ariane Moffatt as the coaches. During the seasons mentors also took part. They were Daniel Bélanger, Claude Dubois, Annie Villeneuve and Fred St-Gelais. The series was produced by Stéphane Laporte and hosted by Charles Lafortune. The winner was Valérie Carpentier from Ariane Moffatt's Team. Season Summary : Winner : Finalist During the season, mentors also assisted various teams. Marc Dupré
Marc Dupré (born July 28, 1973) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and comedian from Quebec. Career Dupré began his career as a stand-up comedian, known particularly as a musical impressionist who performed music in the voices and styles of various singers, before turning to recording conventional pop music in the mid-2000s. As a comedian, he was particularly famous for his vocal impression of Bryan Adams, while other singers he impersonated in his shows included Mario Pelchat and Éric Lapointe. After turning to music, he continued to include shorter comedy segments in his concert performances, as well as performing selected Adams covers, but stopped performing regular full shows as a comedian. Amsterdam (Jacques Brel Song)
"Amsterdam" is a song by Jacques Brel. It combines a powerful melancholic crescendo with a rich poetic account of the exploits of sailors on shore leave in Amsterdam. Musically, it takes its base melody line from the melody of the English folk song Greensleeves. Brel never recorded this for a studio album, and his only version was released on the live album '' Olympia 1964,'' he also did not like the song at all and that performance remains his only one of the tune. Highway To Hell (song)
"Highway to Hell" is a song by Australian rock band AC/DC. It is the opening track of their 1979 album '' Highway to Hell'', initially released as a single on 27 July 1979, the same day the album was released. The song was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott, with Angus Young credited for writing the guitar riff. AC/DC had made several studio albums before and were constantly promoting them via a grueling tour schedule, referred to by Angus Young as being on a highway to hell, hence the name. Background The song is in the key of A Major. The title and lyrics reflect the arduous nature of touring constantly and life on the road. Rimouski ( ; ) is a city in Quebec, Canada. Rimouski is located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, at the mouth of the Rimouski River. It has a population of 48,935 (as of 2021). ''La Wally'' is an opera in four acts by composer Alfredo Catalani, to a libretto by Luigi Illica, first performed at La Scala, Milan, on 20 January 1892. It was Catalani's last opera. The libretto is based on a hugely successful ' by Wilhelmine von Hillern (1836–1916), '' The Vulture Maiden'' (''Die Geier-Wally''). Wally, short for Walburga, is a girl with some heroic attributes. John Dawson Winter III (February 23, 1944 – July 16, 2014) was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer.
