Lauro Gazzolo (born Ilario Gazzolo; 15 October 1900 – 2 October 1970) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Nervi, Gazzolo began his career on screen in 1938 starring in the comedy film '' The Document'' and became more successful after the end of World War II. A popular character actor, he appeared in at least 106 films and played many roles between 1939 and 1966. Among his most popular filmography included '' The Jester's Supper'', '' Four Steps in the Clouds'' and '' The Band of Honest Men''. In his later films, he appeared alongside his son Nando Gazzolo in the 1961 film ''Constantine and the Cross''. This would mark Nando's film debut. Otello Toso (22 February 1914 – 15 March 1966) was an Italian film and stage actor. Born in Padua, Toso graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in 1939 and immediately later he started his film career. He was particularly prolific in the 1940s, in films in which he usually starred negative characters. After World War II Toso mostly starred in melodramas and genre films, except for Juan Antonio Bardem's ''Death of a Cyclist''. He died at 52 in a car accident in Pieve di Curtarolo, near Padua. Ave Maria Ninchi (; 14 December 1914 – 10 November 1997) was an Italian supporting actress who played character roles on stage, television, and in over 98 feature films that included '' Tomorrow Is Too Late'' (1949) and Louis Malle's '' Murmur of the Heart'' (1971) and '' Lacombe, Lucien'' (1974).
