LGBTQ Grooming Conspiracy Theory
The notion that LGBTQ people, or those supportive of LGBT rights, LGBTQ rights, are engaging in child grooming and enabling child sexual abuse is a Far-right politics, far-right conspiracy theory and Anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, anti-LGBTQ trope. Although the belief that LGBTQ individuals are more likely to molest children has no basis in fact, this stereotype has existed for decades in the U.S. and Europe, going back to before World War II. The specific use of the term groomer as a slur to refer to LGBTQ people (particularly Transgender, trans people and Drag queen, drag queens) became more prominent during Partisanship, partisan political campaigning in the 2020s, where it was often used to justify Anti-LGBTQ curriculum laws in the United States, anti-LGBTQ curriculum bills. Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2023
The Anti-Homosexuality Act, 2023 is an act of the Parliament of Uganda that restricts freedom of speech on LGBT civil rights and introduces harsher penalties for certain types of homosexual acts. On 21 March 2023, the bill was read a third time, and was then sent to President Yoweri Museveni for assent. On 21 April 2023, Museveni returned it to Parliament, which passed it again with minor amendments on 2 May. On 26 May, Museveni signed the bill. Hungarian Anti-LGBT Law
The Act LXXIX of 2021 on taking more severe action against paedophile offenders and amending certain Acts for the protection of children, often mentioned in English-language media as Hungary's anti-LGBT law are legislative amendments that were approved by the Hungarian Parliament on 15 June 2021, on a 157–1 vote.
