LEF – For The New Generation
LEF – For the New Generation (, ), also known simply as LEF (), is a political party in the Netherlands focused on youth interests. The party participated in the 2023 House of Representatives elections with Daniël van Duijn as lead candidate, but was unable to win a seat. History The party was founded by party leader Daniël van Duijn in 2020. It participated in the 2022 municipal election in Amsterdam and The Hague, but was unable to win a seat in either municipal council. The party participated in the 2023 Dutch general election with Van Duijn as its lead candidate. The party received 5,053 votes, not enough for a seat. They chose to campaign solely by performing campaign stunts. One of these had Van Duijn paste the party's poster on the windows of the studio from which '' Buitenhof'' was being live broadcast, thereby interrupting an interview with Party for the Animals party leader Esther Ouwehand. Pieter Omtzigt
Pieter Herman Omtzigt (; born 8 January 1974) is a Dutch former politician who served as a member of the House of Representatives (Netherlands), House of Representatives between 2003 and 2025 apart from a short interruption between June and October 2010. He was a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), but left in 2021 and continued as an independent. In August 2023, he founded a new party called New Social Contract, its name taken from his A New Social Contract, 2021 manifesto. Harm reduction, or harm minimization, refers to a range of intentional practices and public health policies designed to lessen the negative social and/or physical consequences associated with various human behaviors, both legal and illegal. Harm reduction is used to decrease negative consequences of recreational drug use and sexual activity without requiring abstinence, recognizing that those unable or unwilling to stop can still make positive change to protect themselves and others. Hendrikus Johannes Everhardus "Henk" Schiffmacher (born 22 March 1952), also known as Hanky Panky, is a Dutch tattoo artist.
