''L'Embellie'' is the fifth studio album recorded by French singer Calogero, and was released on 20 April 2009. Background The album was preceded by lead single "C'est dit," written by Jean-Jacques Goldman. For this album, Calogero asked many French singers and songwriters to compose the lyrics, including Dominique A, Dick Annegarn, Kent, Grand Corps Malade, Pierre Lapointe, Marc Lavoine, Pierre Pelù and Jean-Jacques Goldman. "C'est dit" is a 2009 song recorded by French singer and composer Calogero. It was the first single off his fifth studio album ''L'Embellie'' and was released on 16 February 2009. It was highly successful in Belgium (Wallonia) and on French digital chart. Background and theme The song was written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, that was the first collaboration between both artists. In various interviews, Calogero explained why he wanted a song written by Goldman: "I wanted to work with him first because I think he is a great author. I love his lyrics more than his music. I found interesting to make him work on a music that has no refrain. He said to me that it was bizarre, my song. I told him: "Find the hook". He found two : "On est riche que de ses amis" and "C'est dit"." Calogero also said he wanted a "moving" text to express his feelings for his friends. Grand Corps Malade
Fabien Marsaud (born 31 July 1977), known professionally as Grand Corps Malade (GCM), is a French slam poet and lyricist. He has released seven studio albums so far, all of them reaching top-five status on the French SNEP chart. GCM started writing and performing a capella at slam events in 2003. Three years later, he signed with Universal's AZ affiliate and released his debut album '' Midi 20'', which became a top-ten selling record of the year in France. Jean-Jacques Goldman (; born 11 October 1951) is a French singer-songwriter and music record producer. He is hugely popular in the French-speaking world. Since the death of Johnny Hallyday in 2017 he has been the highest grossing living French pop rock act.
