Kronshtadt Grom
Grom (Russian language, Russian: Гром, Literal translation, lit. 'Thunder') is a Russian unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) being developed by Kronshtadt. It was first unveiled at ARMY-2020 forum. Development A full size mockup of the Grom UCAV was unveiled at Army-2020 by Kronshtadt. "Grom" is being designed to operate Loyal wingman, in conjunction with fighters such as Sukhoi Su-35, Su-35 and Sukhoi Su-57, Su-57; according to main designer of Kronstadt, the main task of this UCAV is to save the lives of pilots and piloted aircraft themselves. "Grom" will be able to carry Kh-38 air-to-surface guided missiles. The weapons will be placed on four hardpoints - two under the wings and two inside the fuselage. The Tactical Missiles Corporation has developed air-to-surface missiles for this drone, prepared the Izdeliye 85 guided missile, as well as KAB-250 and KAB-500 guided bombs. These drones are usually under real-time human control, with varying levels of autonomy. Loyal Wingman
A loyal wingman is a proposed type of unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) which incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) and is capable of collaborating with the next generation of manned combat aircraft, including sixth-generation fighters and bombers such as the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider. Also unlike the conventional UCAV, the loyal wingman is expected to be capable of surviving on the battlefield but to be significantly lower-cost than a manned aircraft with similar capabilities. They are single-seat, twin-engine, supermaneuverable aircraft, designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and built by Sukhoi. The Kh-38/Kh-38M (russian: Х-38) is a family of air-to-surface missiles meant to succeed the Kh-25 and Kh-29 missile families. Design and development The basic configuration of the Kh-38M was revealed at the 2007 Moscow Air Show (MAKS). The first prototypes of the missile had initially folding wings and tail fins for internal carriage, and would have a variety of seeker heads for different variants. Different warheads (fragmentation, cluster munitions, penetrating) can also be fitted. The Kh-38M is meant to succeed the Kh-25 and Kh-29 missile families.
