Kranti (2002 Film)
''Kranti'' is a 2002 Indian action drama film directed by Naresh Malhotra. It stars Vinod Khanna, Bobby Deol Ameesha Patel, Rati Agnihotri and Kabir Bedi. Plot The film is about an honest cop, Abhay Pratap Singh and his father Awadesh Pratap Singh. Abhay defies conventional methods to nab criminals and for this reason, has frequent arguments with his father. Sanjana enters in Abhay's life as a student who is writing a thesis on an honest cop. She falls in love with Abhay and follows him everywhere. This lands her in trouble as she gets shot by a criminal whom Abhay is pursuing. She survives but Abhay tracks the mastermind behind the criminal, Mahendra Singh Rana. Rana is a wealthy industrialist who has ties with politicians and tries to slow down Abhay in his chase. Vinod Khanna
Vinod Khanna (6 October 1946 – 27 April 2017) was an Indian actor, film producer and politician who is best known for his work in Hindi films; while also being a notable spiritual seeker. In Bollywood, he was the recipient of two Filmfare awards. Khanna was one of the highest-paid stars of his times, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna. He gave competition to Amitabh Bachchan's box office run in late 1970s to early 1980s before taking break from films. After joining politics, he became the MP from the Gurdaspur constituency between 1998–2009 and 2014–2017. Sunidhi Chauhan (pronounced ; born 14 August 1983) is an Indian playback singer. Born in Delhi, she began performing in local gatherings at the age of 5 and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film '' Shastra'' (1996). Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. Anand Bakshi (21 July 1930 – 30 March 2002) was an Indian poet and lyricist. He was nominated for the Filmfare award for Best lyricist a total of 40 times, resulting in 4 wins. Early life Anand Bakshi (Bakshi Anand Prakash Vaid) was born in Rawalpindi in the Punjab Province of British India (now in Punjab, Pakistan), on 21 July 1930 into a Mohyal Brahmin family of the Vaid clan. The family arrived in Delhi, via a Dakota aircraft after the Partition of India and then migrated to Pune, then Meerut and settled again finally in Delhi. Bakshi was fond of writing poetry since his youth, but he did this mostly as a private hobby. In a 1983 interview with Doordarshan, Bakshi recounted that after his initial studies, he joined the Indian Navy, where due to a paucity of time, he could only write occasionally.
