Steven Knope is an American internist and the author of two medical-related books. He practices medicine at The Knope Clinic, which he founded, in Tucson, Arizona. Early life and education Born and raised in Milford, Michigan, Knope described himself as "a terrible student" in math and science. Knope earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Mannes School of Music, a conservatory at The New School in New York City. Knope found a math tutor through a contact at Columbia University, and eventually completed premedical studies at Columbia University. Raymond Knops
Raymond Willem Knops (born 10 November 1971) is a Dutch politician and retired RNLAF officer who served as State Secretary for the Interior and Kingdom Relations under the Third Rutte cabinet from 2017 to 2019 and again from 2020 until 2022. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he was Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations from 2019 to 2020 in an acting capacity. Knops has held a seat in the House of Representatives between 2005 and 2023 with three interruptions due to cabinet formation processes and service in government. Kjell Knops
Kjell Maria-Goretti Mathieu Knops (born 21 July 1987) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a centre back. He began his professional career with Roda JC Kerkrade in 2008 before dropping into amateur football with EVV for the 2010–11 season. He then moved up to the Eerste Divisie for a five-year spell at MVV, who he also captained. He left the Netherlands and travelled to England to join Port Vale in June 2016. He spent two years with the club but missed the entirety of the 2017–18 season due to injury. He returned to the Netherlands and signed with Helmond Sport in August 2018 and then joined Groene Ster in June 2019. He signed with EHC in May 2020. Dennis Robert Hoagland
Dennis Robert Hoagland (April 2, 1884 – September 5, 1949) was an American chemist and leading plant and soil scientist who pioneered work in plant nutrition, soil chemistry, agricultural chemistry, biochemistry, and physiology. He was Professor of Plant Nutrition at the University of California at Berkeley from 1927 until his death in 1949. Dennis Hoagland is commonly known for discovering the active transport of electrolytes in plant cells, using innovative model systems, such as '' Nitella'', under controlled experimental conditions, such as hydro- or solution culture. Hoagland was able to show that various plant diseases are caused by a lack of trace elements and established their importance for plant nutrition, such as zinc in fruit trees. Johann August Ludwig Wilhelm Knop (28 July 1817 – 28 January 1891) was a German agrochemist and, together with Julius von Sachs, co-founder of modern water culture due to his pioneering experiments with the cultivation of crops in nutrient solutions. Life and career Wilhelm Knop was born in Altenau as the son of the forester Ludewig Ernst Knop and his wife Philippine Amalie Haeberle. The mineralogist and scholar Adolf Knop was one of his brothers. He studied natural sciences at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg and taught mechanics and natural sciences at the commercial college in Leipzig from 1847 to 1856. Adolf Knop
Adolf Knop (12 January 1828, in Altenau – 27 December 1893, in Karlsruhe) was a German geologist and mineralogist. He studied mathematics and sciences at the University of Göttingen, where he was a pupil of chemist Friedrich Wöhler and mineralogist Johann Friedrich Ludwig Hausmann. From 1849 he taught classes at the vocational school in Chemnitz. In 1857 he became an associate professor of geology and mineralogy at the University of Giessen, where in 1863 he attained a full professorship. Oscar Knop
Robert Oscar Knop (1896–1952) was a professional American football player who played running back for eight seasons for the Chicago Tigers, the Hammond Pros, and the Chicago Bears. During a 1924 Bears game against the Columbus Tigers, Knop intercepted a pass and was turned around, inadvertently causing him to start running towards his own end zone before teammate Ed Healey dived and tackled him at the goal line. Fellow Bear Joey Sternaman recalled in 1991, "The entire Tiger team just stood there and watched as he started running the wrong way. Most of them were laughing, I think.
