Kjell Kjær (February 1, 1942 – January 8, 2025) was a Norwegian film actor, puppeteer, director, and program host. He also performed as a stage actor, including at the National Theater in Oslo. Peter Kjær (born 5 November 1965) is a Danish former professional footballer, current television commentator, and former sporting director of Silkeborg IF. During his active career as a goalkeeper, he played the bulk of his career with Danish clubs Vejle Boldklub and Silkeborg IF. He played for Turkish club Beşiktaş before ending his career with Aberdeen in Scotland, retiring in 2003. He played for the Denmark national team in four matches. Nils Kjær (11 September 1870 – 9 February 1924) was a Norwegian playwright, short story writer, essayist, literary critic and theatre critic. Personal life Kjær was born in Holmestrand as the son of Nils Henrik Kjær and Christine Smestad. He married translator and teacher Fredrikke Margrete ("Maggen") Dons in 1896. Career Kjær took his examen artium in 1890, and studied at the University of Oslo from 1890 to 1892. Kirsten Kjær
Maren Kirstine "Kirsten" Kjær (1893–1985) was a self-taught Danish painter from northern Jutland. After a rather confused early life, in 1925 she realized she wanted to paint and, inspired by Gauguin's works, made a trip to France. From 1926, she spent three successful years on the west coast of the United States, exhibiting in San Francisco and Oakland. On her return to Denmark, she visited Skagen where she met the Swedish writers Brita von Horn and Elsa Collin who introduced her to art circles in Stockholm. After World War II, she traveled widely, painting both portraits and landscapes in Poland, Sápmi, Lapland, Iceland, Tunisia and Liberia.
