Khrestivka (; ) or Kirovske (; ) is a city in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. Its population is approximately Since 2014, Khrestivka has been occupied by Russia and its proxy forces. History Early history Until 1941, there was a German settlement at the site of the modern city named ''Mannheim''. The legal name of the settlement in Imperial Russian and later Soviet records was ''Davydo-Orlivka'' (), but it was also colloquially known as "Khrestivka" (roughly meaning "Cross-town") due to a cross-shaped road sign near the village. During World War II, in which Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union, the German population was deported to Siberia. The modern settlement was officially founded at the same site in 1954 as Nova Khrestivka (), in connection with the coal mines that were dug at the same time. Kirovske (; ) or Isliam-Terek (; ; ) is an urban-type settlement in the Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine and occupied by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. Kirovske Raion (; or Іслямтерецький район; Crimean Tatar: İslâm Terek rayonı) was one of the 25 regions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea until 2020. The raion's administrative centre is the urban-type settlement of Kirovske (also known as Isliam-Terek). Obukhivka
Obukhivka (; ) is a rural settlement in Dnipro Raion, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine. Until 2016, the settlement was known as Kirovske. It was renamed by the Verkhovna Rada according to the law prohibiting names of communist origin. Obukhivka is a suburb of Dnipro and is located on the left bank of the Dnieper. It hosts the administration of Obukhivka settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The kindergarten, built in 2018, was nominated in February 2020 by the organizers of the Mies van der Rohe Award for the EU Prize in Contemporary Architecture.
