Kiron is a town in Crawford County, Iowa, Crawford County, Iowa, United States. The population was 267 at the time of the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. History Kiron was platted in 1899. It was supposedly named after a place in China. Another popular etymology is that the town was named after the Kidron Valley, in the Bible, but due to a typographical error, the D had been omitted.
