Kinney Parking Company
Kinney Parking Company was a New Jersey parking lot company owned by Manny Kimmel, Sigmund Dornbusch, and mob figure Abner Zwillman. History Kinney Parking Company was incorporated in 1945 by Manny Kimmel. In 1961, Kinney reached an agreement with Abbey Rent-A-Car (founded by Edward Rosenthal) whereby Abbey customers would park for free at Kinney lots in exchange for a 25% ownership interest in Abbey. The relationship was fruitful and in 1961, Rosenthal and Kimmel decided to merge the two companies with Rosenthal adding two additional companies he owned, Riverside Memorial Chapel and City Service Cleaning Contractors, Inc. The new entity was renamed Kinney Service Corporation and taken public. In 1964, Kinney purchased Walter B. Cooke, Inc., which operated nine funeral homes in New York. Swensen's Inc. is an international chain restaurant, chain of ice cream restaurants that was founded in San Francisco, California, United States. History The company was founded in 1948 by Earle Swensen, who learned to make ice cream while serving in the United States Navy, U.S. Navy during World War II. Swensen opened his first shop at the corner of Union and Hyde Streets, along the San Francisco cable car system, cable car tracks in Russian Hill, San Francisco, Russian Hill in San Francisco at what had been a failed ice cream parlor. Planet Hollywood Las Vegas (formerly the Aladdin) is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment. Paramount Plaza, also 1633 Broadway and formerly the Uris Building, is a 48-story skyscraper in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. Designed by Emery Roth and Sons, the building was developed by the Uris brothers and was renamed for its owner, the Paramount Group, by 1980. Paramount Plaza occupies a site bounded by Broadway to the east, 51st Street to the north, and 50th Street to the south. The building has a slab-like massing, rising straight from street level to the roof, above ground. The facade is covered in dark glass and carries the name of German company Allianz near the roof. Uris Buildings Corporation was a New York City commercial real estate development company created by Harold and Percy Uris in 1960 from a predecessor private partnership.
