Kings (provincial Electoral District)
Kings was a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada that, at the time of its dissolution, elected two members to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. It existed from 1867 until 1956, when Kings County was divided into the three electoral districts of Kings North, Kings South and Kings West. Apart from a brief period between 1933 and 1945, during which one member was elected, Kings always elected two members to the Legislature. Reginald Tucker Caldwell
Reginald Tucker Caldwell (June 11, 1885 – March 2, 1939) was a grocer, real estate broker and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Kings County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1925 to 1933 as a Conservative member. He was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia, the son of Rupert Caldwell and Eva Crowe. Caldwell was educated at a business college in Truro. In 1912, he married Winnifred Newcombe. Calwell served on the Kentville Kentville is an incorporated town in Nova Scotia. George Nowlan
George Clyde Nowlan (14 August 1898 – 31 May 1965) was a Canadian Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, he served as Minister of Finance in the government of John Diefenbaker, and was also responsible for the CBC. Early life and education Nowlan was born on 14 August 1898 in Havelock, Nova Scotia to the irish-Canadian Charles Randall Nowlan and his wife Hattie Euphemia DeLong. Nowlan was a soldier in the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War. After the war ended, he returned to the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia and attended Acadia University to study for a Bachelor of Arts, graduating in 1920.
