Kieran Murphy (rugby Union)
Kieran Murphy (born 19 January 1988) is a Scottish/Welsh rugby union player currently playing for Ealing Trailfinders in the RFU Championship. His position is at Number 8 and is known for his explosive power, superb speed off the base of the scrum and running support play around the field. Kieran previously played for Premiership side Llandovery RFC. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland moving to Swansea, Wales when he was two years old and consequently qualifies to play for both Scotland and Wales at international level. He played his junior rugby for South Gower RFC, attended Bishopston Comprehensive in Swansea and after returning from his studies at Birmingham University where he often played for Veseyans RFC he joined Mumbles RFC before catching the eye of the Scarlets. Kieran Murphy (Sarsfields Hurler)
Kieran Murphy (born 22 February 1983 in Glanmire, County Cork) is an Irish former sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Sarsfields and was a member of the Cork senior inter-county team from 2003 until 2011. Murphy was appointed captain of the team for 2010. Murphy announced his retirement from inter-county hurling in 2011 due to work commitments outside the Cork area. Playing career Sarsfields Murphy plays his club hurling with his local club called Sarsfield's and has enjoyed much success. He first came to prominence as the club enjoyed an under-age boom in the early years of the new century. After experiencing little success at minor level, Murphy was a key member of the 'Sars' under-21 team that reached the final of the county under-21 championship in 2003. Valley Rovers provided the opposition on that occasion, however, they proved no match for Murphy's side. Kieran Murphy (born 10 April 1983) is an Irish hurler. At club level he played with Erin's Own and was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team. Early life Born and raised in Glounthaune, County Cork, Murphy first played hurling and Gaelic football as a schoolboy with Coláiste an Phiarsaigh. He lined out in all grades during his time there, including in several Dr Harty Cup campaigns. Club career Murphy's juvenile and underage career coincided with a successful period for the Erin's Own club. Beginning his career as a goalkeeper, he won a Cork MAHC title in 1998 following a 1-12 to 1-05 defeat of Ballinhassig in the final. This win earned promotion to the top minor grade, with Murphy claiming a Cork Premier MHC title in 1999 after a defeat of Glen Rovers. Kieran Thomas Murphy (born 21 December 1987) is an English professional footballer, who plays for Chertsey Town. Previously at Milton Keynes Dons where he made his professional debut away to Brighton & Hove Albion, Murphy then got the chance to study at Loughborough University and stopped playing professional football. He joined Ilkeston Town F.C. before the start of the 2008–09 season and had a magnificent first year at the club, picking up two separate player of the year awards and is currently team captain. Kieran Jon Murphy is a visually impaired Australian Para tandem cyclist. He won two medals at the 2017 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships. Personal Murphy was born at Modbury Hospital in South Australia to his parents Zoe and Scott Murphy. He has three brothers; Joshua, Liam and Declan. He was born with a deteriorating eye condition that will one day leave him blind. Cycling Murphy initially began his career as a swimmer. Competing at 13 national championships between 2008 and 2014. Four weeks after taking up cycling, he competed at the 2014 National Road and Time Trial Championships. His role model is Kieran Modra who also started as a swimmer and then moved onto cycling. Kieran Murphy (Gaelic Footballer)
Kieran Murphy (born 1955) is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played for Cork Championship club Nemo Rangers and at inter-county level with the Cork senior football team. Career Murphy first came to sporting prominence as a dual player at schoolboy level with Coláiste Chríost Rí. He simultaneously lined out at juvenile and underage levels with the Nemo Rangers club and won several championship titles in the minor and under-21 grades. At adult level he was part of three All-Ireland Club Championship-winning teams with Nemo. Murphy first appeared on the inter-county scene with the Cork minor football team. His three-year tenure with the team yielded an All-Ireland MFC title in 1972 before later lining out with the under-21 team.
