François Kevorkian (born 10 January 1954), also known by the stage name François K, is a French-born, U.S.-based DJ, producer, remixer and label owner of Armenian descent, who started his career DJing in clubs such as the Paradise Garage and Studio 54. Kevorkian has produced and remixed work by a diverse range of musicians including The Smiths, Adam Ant, Kraftwerk, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Diana Ross, Gloria Estefan and U2, and is considered one of the forefathers of house music. Hagop Kevorkian
Hagop Kevorkian ( hy, Յակոբ Գեւորգեան; 1872 – 1962) was an Armenian-American archeologist, connoisseur of art, and collector. Originally from Kayseri, and a graduate of the American Robert College in Istanbul, he settled in New York City in the late 19th century, and was responsible for drawing greater attention to Near Eastern and Islamic artifacts in the United States. Career Kevorkian carried out excavations in Persia, in Sultanabad from 1903 and at the medieval city of Rey from around 1907, and assembled an outstanding collection of Oriental art, especially Islamic and Persian. He organized the exhibition of Islamic ceramics in London in 1911. The works excavated under his supervision were shown in New York in 1914. Jack Kevorkian
Murad Jacob "Jack" Kevorkian (May 26, 1928 – June 3, 2011) was an American pathologist and euthanasia proponent. He publicly championed a terminal patient's right to die by physician-assisted suicide, embodied in his quote, "Dying is not a crime". Kevorkian said that he assisted at least 130 patients to that end. He was convicted of murder in 1999 and was often portrayed in the media with the name of "Dr. Death". In 1998, Kevorkian was arrested and tried for his role in the voluntary euthanasia of a man named Thomas Youk who had Lou Gehrig's disease, or ALS. He was convicted of second-degree murder and served 8 years of a 10-to-25-year prison sentence. Trans World Airlines Flight 800 (TWA800) was a Boeing 747-100 that exploded and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near East Moriches, New York, on July 17, 1996, at about 8:31pm. Raymond Haroutioun Kévorkian (born February 22, 1953) is a French Armenian historian. He is a Foreign Member of Armenian National Academy of Sciences. Kevorkian has a PhD in history (1980), and is a professor. Vahram Kevorkian
Vahram Kevorkian (17 December 1887– 17 July 1911) was a football player of Armenian descent. His position on the field was striker. Kevorkian was born in a rich merchant family in Yerevan, and had been sent to study in Boston. He arrived in Belgium presumably in 1902, after he had been studying in the United States. He settled in Bruges and also started playing football for Cercle Brugge in 1902. He made his debut at the highest level of Belgian football one season later. In 1905, Kevorkian went to Antwerp side Beerschot. Even though Beerschot relegated that season, Kevorkian chose to stay and Antwerp were back again at the top level in 1907. Kevorkian was called up for Belgium in 1908, for a match against Sweden. Kevorkian scored the 1–0 in the 30th minute. Belgium won the match 2–1. Kevorkian Death Cycle is an American electro-industrial band from Riverside, California founded by Ryan Gribbin and Roger Jarvis. The band was originally named Grid and later changed their name to the politically motivated "Kevorkian Death Cycle". Career The band released its first album, ''Collection for Injection'', on the Ras Dva label. After a 1997 tour with Spahn Ranch, they became popular with the underground community. The band moved to the Metropolis label in 1998 and in the fall released their second album ''Dark Skies''. They later played with Front 242 and went on tour with Front Line Assembly.
