Kevin Hayes
Kevin Patrick Hayes (born May 8, 1992) is an American professional ice hockey player for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). Growing up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Hayes played hockey for the Noble and Greenough School before being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, 24th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Hayes chose to defer his professional career and followed his older brother Jimmy, playing four seasons with the Boston College Eagles. In his senior year, Hayes was selected for the All-Hockey East First Team and AHCA East First-Team All-American as a result of his play. Following his tenure at Boston College, Hayes signed his first professional contract with the New York Rangers in 2014 instead of the Blackhawks. Kevin Anthony Hayes (born 26 September 1962) is an English former cricketer. Hayes was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born at Thurnscoe, West Riding of Yorkshire. Career Oxford University and Lancashire Hayes made his first-class debut for Lancashire against Oxford University in 1980. This was his only appearance for the county that season. The following year, Hayes began his university studies at the University of Oxford, making his first-class cricket debut for Oxford University against Gloucestershire at the University Parks, scoring a half century on debut. He made five first-class appearances for the university in 1981, including The University Match at Lord's Cricket Ground where he made another half century. Kevin Hays (born May 1, 1968) is an American jazz pianist and composer. He began playing in New York while still at high school and led his first record date in 1990. He has recorded more than twenty albums as leader or co-leader, including three each for SteepleChase and Blue Note Records. He led a long-standing trio with bassist Doug Weiss and drummer Bill Stewart, and has also sung with his New Day Trio of bassist Rob Jost and drummer Greg Joseph. Early life Hays was born in New York City on May 1, 1968, the youngest of four children. He was raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, and began studying the piano at the age of six, after hearing his father, an amateur player. He was initially interested in rock music and other things that he heard on the radio, and became more interested in jazz in his early teens.
