Kenneth Del Vecchio
Kenneth Del Vecchio is a filmmaker who has written, produced, directed and acted in over 30 films. He is founder and chairman of the Hoboken International Film Festival. He also is the author of several legal books, including criminal codebooks published by Prentice Hall and ALM. He is a novelist, who penned his first published novel as a 24-year-old law student. He is the owner of the Criminal Law Learning Center and a former part-time New Jersey municipal judge. Hoboken International Film Festival
The Hoboken International Film Festival is an annual festival that promotes domestic and international television pilots, screenplays, non-studio films. Awards, with cash prizes, are given for the best submissions. The festival was founded by Kenneth del Vecchio, who is its chairman. First held in 2005, it is now held at the Thomas Morahan Waterfront Park in Greenwood Lake, New York. It was held first at the Frank Sinatra Park in Hoboken, New Jersey and later in Orange County, New York, including most recently in Middletown, New York. A deal with the Devil (also called a Faustian bargain or Mephistophelian bargain) is a cultural motif exemplified by the legend of Faust and the figure of Mephistopheles, as well as being elemental to many Christian traditions. According to traditional Christian belief about witchcraft, the pact is between a person and the Devil or another demon, trading a soul for diabolical favours, which vary by the tale, but tend to include youth, knowledge, wealth, fame and power. It was also believed that some people made this type of pact just as a sign of recognising the minion as their master, in exchange for nothing. The bargain is a dangerous one, as the price of the Fiend's service is the wagerer's soul. The tale may have a moralising end, with eternal damnation for the foolhardy venturer.
