Kenneth Robinson (British Politician)
Sir Kenneth Robinson (19 March 1911 – 16 February 1996) was a British Labour politician who served as Minister of Health in Harold Wilson's first government, from 1964 to 1968, when the position was merged into the new title of Secretary of State for Social Services. Robinson died in London on 16 February 1996. Early life The son of Dr Clarence Robinson and a nurse, Ethel Marion Linell, Kenneth Robinson was born on 19 March 1911 in Warrington, northwest England and was educated at Malsis School in North Yorkshire, before attending Oundle School up to the point of his father dying when he was just 15 years old. After his mother pulled him from the school because of costs he later worked as a writer, insurance broker and company secretary. Kenneth Albert Robinson
Kenneth Albert Robinson (September 29, 1914 – April 30, 2004) was an American politician and newspaper publisher. Kenneth Robinson was born in Panora, Iowa, on September 29, 1914, to parents Albert M. Robinson and Ola Maynard. A year before graduating from Panora High School, Robinson contracted polio. He earned his high school diploma in 1934, followed by a degree in economics at Drake University. While attending Drake, Robinson was managing editor of the student newspaper, ''The Times Delphic'' and also wrote for '' The Des Moines Register'' and the '' Des Moines Tribune''. He became owner and publisher of the ''Bayard News'' and '' Bagley Gazette'' in 1940 and relinquished those positions upon retirement in 1999. Ken Robinson (born 1942) was a former Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) politician who was a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Antrim from 1998 to 2011. Kenneth Robinson (cricketer)
Kenneth Mark Lefebre Robinson (16 February 1897 – 9 January 1963) was an English first-class cricketer and Royal Navy officer. Robinson was born in Hampshire at South Stoneham in February 1897. He served in the Royal Navy in the First World War, during which he was promoted from the rank of midshipman to sub-lieutenant in December 1916. In the closing stages of the war, he was promoted from the rank of acting lieutenant to lieutenant in June 1918. He was later promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander in January 1926. The following year he made a single appearance in first-class cricket for the Royal Navy against the touring New Zealanders at Portsmouth in 1927. Batting twice in the match, he was dismissed for 13 runs in the Royal Navy first-innings by Bill Cunningham, while in their second-innings he was dismissed for a single run by Ernest Bernau. Kenneth Neal Robinson (November 3, 1969 – February 28, 1999) was an American professional baseball pitcher, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays (1995, 1997) and Kansas City Royals (1996). Listed at 5' 9", 175 lb., Robinson batted and threw right-handed. A native of Barberton, Ohio, Robinson played college baseball for Florida State University. In 1991, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Robinson was selected by the Blue Jays in the 10th round (276th overall) of the 1991 Major League Baseball draft. Kenneth Ernest Robinson (9 March 1914 – 18 January 2005) was a British civil servant and academic who specialized in colonial and Commonwealth affairs. Robinson was educated at the Sir George Monoux Grammar School and Hertford College, Oxford, where he took Firsts in PPE and Modern History. In 1936 he joined the Colonial Office, reaching the rank of Assistant Secretary in 1946, before resigning in 1948. That year he succeeded to Margery Perham as Reader in Commonwealth Government at Oxford, becoming a fellow of Nuffield College at the same time. In 1957, he became the Director of the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London, also serving as one of the first co-editors of the ''Journal of Commonwealth Political Studies'', subsequently ''Commonwealth & Comparative Politics'', from 1961 to 1965. Kenneth John Robinson (26 April 1925 – 26 March 1994) was an English pianist, architect, journalist and broadcaster from Ealing best known for his acerbity. He presented BBC One's '' Points of View'' between 1965 and 1969 and was a panellist and occasional host of BBC Radio 4's ''Start the Week'' between 1971 and 1986. John Kenneth Robinson (17 December 1936 – 5 August 2020) was an Anglican priest. Robinson was educated at Balshaw's Grammar School, Leyland and trained for the priesthood at King's College London. He was ordained in 1963. After curacies at St Chad's Poulton-le-Fylde and Lancaster Priory, in 1966 he became a chaplain at St John's Army Children's School, Singapore and then the vicar of Holy Trinity, Colne. He then became Director of Education for the Diocese of the Windward Isles and then the vicar of St Luke's Skerton. After this he was a minor canon at St Edmundsbury Cathedral and then chaplain of Greater Lisbon. In 1994 he became the Archdeacon of Gibraltar and in 2000 its Dean.
