Dinka Religion
Dinka spirituality is the traditional religion of the Dinka people (also known as Muonyjang), an ethnic group of South Sudan. They belong to the Nilotic peoples, which is a group of cultures in Southern Sudan and wider Eastern Africa. The Dinka people largely rejected or ignored Islamic and Christian teachings, as Abrahamic religious beliefs were incompatible with their society, culture and traditional beliefs. Creation of humans and life The supreme, creator god, Nhialic (pronounced as Nhialich), is the god of the sky and rain, and the ruler of all the other gods and spirits. Dinka People
The Dinka people () are a Nilotes, Nilotic ethnic group native to South Sudan. The Dinka mostly live along the Nile, from Mangalla-Bor to Renk, South Sudan, Renk, in the region of Bahr el Ghazal (region of South Sudan), Bahr el Ghazal, Upper Nile (two out of three provinces that were formerly part of southern Sudan), and the Abyei area of the Ngok Dinka in South Sudan. They number around 4.5 million, according to the 2008 Sudan census, constituting about 40% of the population of that country and the largest ethnic group in South Sudan. Immaculate Conception
The Immaculate Conception is the doctrine that the Virgin Mary was free of original sin from the moment of her conception. It is one of the four Mariology, Marian dogmas of the Catholic Church. Debated by medieval theologians, it was not defined as a Dogma in the Catholic Church, dogma until 1854, by Pope Pius IX in the papal bull ''Ineffabilis Deus''. While the Immaculate Conception asserts Mary's freedom from original sin, the Council of Trent, held between 1545 and 1563, had previously affirmed her freedom from Catholic hamartiology, personal sin. Ditaolane, also known as Moshanyana-wa-Senkatana or Senkatana (spelled as Litaolane and Moshanyana oa Senkatana in Lesotho Sesotho) is a hero and deity in the Basotho religion and mythology. Heitsi-eibib, also known as Haiseb or Haitse-aibeb, is a mythic hero figure in the mythology of the Khoikhoi people, He is sometimes depicted as a trickster, and with Gaunab and Tsui’goab, is a central figure in Khoikhoi folklore. Representation In his depictions, Heitsi-eibib sometimes appears as either a full-grown adult or a child.
