Alfredo Keil
Alfredo Cristiano Keil (3 July 1850 – 4 October 1907) was a Portuguese composer, painter, poet, archaeologist and art collector. Keil is best known as the composer of the Portuguese national anthem, ''A Portuguesa''. Life Keil was born in Lisbon, the son of the tailor of the court, Johann Christian Keil (later João Cristiano Keil) and his wife Maria Josefina Stellflug, both of Germans, German origin. The boy developed an interest in both painting and music; at the age of 12 he composed the work ''Pensée Musicale'' and dedicated it to his mother. After studying painting in Munich and Nuremberg with the German romantic painters Wilhelm von Kaulbach and August von Kreling, he returned to Portugal in 1870, due to the Franco-Prussian War. Keil School
Keil School was a school in Dumbarton, Scotland. After opening as a technical college in 1915 it later became an independent school for boys, then became co-educational before closing in 2000. History Kintyre Technical College opened with a roll of 18 boys on 29 November 1915 at Keil House, Southend, near Campbeltown in Argyll. In the winter of 1924 a fire destroyed the original building in Southend. The school was relocated to Helenslee, Dumbarton and opened as Keil School in 1925. The school took a lease on Helenslee House, a 50-acre (20 ha) site on the banks of the River Clyde. Helenslee House was originally the property of the shipbuilding family Dennys of Dumbarton. Keil is a German software subsidiary of Arm Holdings. It was founded in 1982 by Günter and Reinhard Keil, initially as a German List of business entities#Germany, GbR. William Keil (March 6, 1812 – December 30, 1877) was the founder of 19th-century communal religious societies in Bethel, Missouri, and Aurora Colony in Oregon.
