Katy Wix
Katy Victoria J Wix (born 28 February 1980) is a Welsh actress, writer, author and artist. Her television roles include Carole in '' Stath Lets Flats,'' Mary in ''Ghosts'', Barbara in ''Ted Lasso'', and Jules in '' Big Boys''. She has also appeared as a series contestant on '' Taskmaster'' and as a recurring character in the science fiction mini-series '' Torchwood: Children of Earth'' in 2009. She has written two series of her own: a sitcom for BBC Radio 4, '' Bird Island'' and a sketch show for Channel 4, '' Anna & Katy''. In 2017, her painting was chosen for the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition. She has written two books of monologues and in 2021 she published her first memoir, ''Delicacy''. The University of Warwick ( ; abbreviated as ''Warw.'' in post-nominal letters) is a public research university on the outskirts of Coventry between the West Midlands and Warwickshire, England. The university was founded in 1965 as part of a government initiative to expand higher education. Crime film is a film belonging to the crime fiction genre. Films of this genre generally involve various aspects of crime and fiction. Stylistically, the genre may overlap and combine with many other genres, such as Drama (film and television), drama or gangster film, but also include Comedy film, comedy, and, in turn, is divided into many sub-genres, such as Mystery film, mystery, suspense or Film noir, noir. Screenwriter and scholar Eric R. Williams identified crime film as one of eleven super-genres in his Screenwriters Taxonomy, claiming that all feature-length narrative films can be classified by these super-genres. ''Party'' is a BBC Radio 4 sitcom. Based on his 2009 Edinburgh fringe play, the show was written by Tom Basden and produced by Julia McKenzie. The show also starred Tom Basden alongside Tim Key, Jonny Sweet, Anna Crilly and Katy Wix. The series surrounds young idealists who want to get into British politics but are naïve and have no idea how to. Repeats of the series have also been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 Extra. Thomas William Basden (born 30 November 1980) is an English actor, writer and comedian. He is best known for co-creating and starring in ''Plebs'', which won the Royal Television Society award for Best Scripted Comedy in 2014. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2007 Edinburgh Comedy Awards and is a member of the sketch group Cowards. Education Tom Basden was born in Sutton, Greater London. Beaton's book series of the same name about a former PR agent who solves crime mysteries in the Cotswolds village of Carsely. ''The King is Dead'' is a 2010 British comedy show created, written by, and starring Simon Bird. Also presenting were Nick Mohammed and Katy Wix. It aired on Thursdays at 10.30pm on BBC Three, with repeats on both Friday and Saturday. Overview Each week on ''The King Is Dead'' a well-known public figure was hypothetically bumped off. It was down to the comedic interview panel, led by Simon Bird, to find a replacement. Three celebrities compete in an interview process in a bid to prove they are the best applicant for the available job. Anna Crilly is an English actress and comedian. Education Crilly was educated at Kent College, Pembury, and attended Middlesex University, where she studied performing arts. Career She was a finalist in the So You Think You're Funny? competition at the Gilded Balloon in 2003 and performed two shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the following year.
