Kati Roll
A kati roll (sometimes spelt kathi roll; ) is a street-food dish originating from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. In its original form, it is a skewer-roasted kebab wrapped in a paratha bread, although over the years many variants have evolved all of which now go under the generic name of ''kati roll''. Today, mostly any wrap containing a filling enfolded in an Indian flatbread (roti) is called a ''kati roll''. In native Bengali, the word roughly translates to 'stick', referring to how they were originally made. In Bengal though, the delicacy is simply known as ''roll''. Kati rolls normally contain coriander chutney, egg, and chicken but the types may vary. History The kati roll is said to have started its life in the Nizam Restaurant in Kolkata, a popular Mughlai eatery founded in 1932 by one Raza Hassan Saheb. There are many stories about how exactly the roll got started. Some suggest that hurried office commuters wanted something quick and portable to eat; some mention Britis ...

KATI (Wyoming)
KATI was a radio station broadcasting on 1400 AM in Casper, Wyoming, United States. It operated from 1956 to 1987, folding due to a series of financial problems with its final owner. The license was eventually donated to the University of Wyoming, but an attempt by the university to auction the facility failed, and it never returned to the air. History Early years On November 16, 1955, the Federal Communications Commission awarded a construction permit to John L. "Jack" Breece for a new radio station to broadcast with 250 watts on 1400 kHz in Casper, initially called KTOO. ( Guide to reading History Cards) Breece had newspaper and radio interests in Lander. From a site on U.S. Route 87 west of Casper and studios in the Midwest Building on Wolcott Street, KATI debuted on May 5, 1956, though not before thieves stole some of its ground wire from the transmitter site. After building the station, Breece sold KATI to Ken Prather and his wife Misha in 1957; Prather had been on ...

Kata People
The Katir (also spelled Kati, Kator and Kata) are a Nuristani tribe in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Etymology The Katir a 'tɘor Kata Kafir group was ''numerically'' the most dominant group of the Siah-Posh (Persian "Black Wearer/Clothed") tribes. They owned approximately forty villages in the Bashgul valley and numbered about 40,000 (1890). The upper part of the Bashgul Valley of Nuristan (Afghanistan) is known as Katirgul. It is called Lutdeh in Chitrali and ''Kantozi'' in Pashto. According to George Scott Robertson, the Katir ''Siah-Posh'' clan settled in Katirgul valley was called Kamtoz (or ''Camtoz'') in Pashto and Lutdehhchis in Chitrali ('' The Kafirs of the Hindu Kush, p 71''). But American investigator ''Richard Strand's'' website suggests that the name ''Kamtoz/Kamtozi'' may apply to all Katirs of the former ''Siah-Posh'' group, including the Ramguli and Kulam Katirs''' Alternative names for Kamtoz are ''Camtozi'', ''Kantozi''.
