Kark'kisällit
Kark'kisällit (sometimes also Karkkisällit/Gruppo Voces ry.) was a Finnish quartet based in the town of Karkkila in Uusimaa region. The quartet started singing together in 1990 and ended the career in November 2016 with a farewell concert called "En kadu mitään" (I don't regret anything). Career The quartet Kark'kisällit consisted of old friends Matti Kuusela, Timo Saario, Urpo Niklander and Tauno Lagerkrantz. Kark'kisällit was active for over 24 years having Karkkila as their hometown though also performing all around Finland. Concerts Kark'kisällit organised annual concerts in Karkkila Hall (Karkkila-sali) which soon became widely popular, attracting people to come and listen to them from neighbouring towns and all over Uusimaa region. The concerts were often sold out. The quartet chose a new repertoire and theme for each concert but despite that they had some songs that became traditions among them and their fans. Karkkila
Karkkila (; ) is a town and a municipality of Finland. Neighboring municipalities are Lohja, Loppi, Tammela and Vihti. Geography Karkkila is located in the Uusimaa region. Ol' Man River
"Ol' Man River" is a show tune from the 1927 musical '' Show Boat'' with music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, who wrote the song in 1925. The song contrasts the struggles and hardships of African Americans with the endless, uncaring flow of the Mississippi River. Esa Saario
Esa Saario (born 22 November 1931) is a Finnish actor. He started studying in Helsinki Theatre Academy in 1956. The headmaster of the academy, Wilho Ilmari, and other teachers allowed Saario to skip one year of school due to Saario's giftedness. Saario ended up graduating in only two years. Career Saario worked as an actor for the Finnish National Theatre from 1958 until his retirement in 1997. The first role he played was in 1954 and the last in 2001. Saario performed in over 200 different roles during his career. Some of his most memorable roles on stage were Orgon in ''Tartuffe'', Malcolm in ''Macbeth'', actor/priest in ''Hamlet'' and Amiens in ''As You Like It''. Reino Vihtori "Repe" Helismaa (12 July 1913 – 21 January 1965) was a Finns, Finnish singer-songwriter, musician and scriptwriter. Born in Helsinki, he was mainly known for his humorous, yet homely songs. One of his best-known interpreters was Tapio Rautavaara.
